DESPITE being away from home to a side above them in Evo-Stik Division One North tomorrow, Farsley Celtic will be in good spirits as they head into the heart of Lancashire.

The Celts will be going to Bamber Bridge in search of their first league victory of the season but their new-found optimism comes from their midweek cup tie win.

Neil Parsley’s men are a lowly 19th in the table after picking up just one point from four games and scoring just one goal, but they burst into life with a 3-0 home win over Stocksbridge Park Steels in an FA Cup preliminary-round replay.

Farsley would go above the Preston-based outfit with a win tomorrow and would be level on points with Burscough, but only if Brighouse Town do their neighbours a favour.

Town host Burscough, and a home win is on the cards as Paul Quinn’s men have had a very encouraging start to the season.

They currently sit 11th and, like their neighbours, have progressed in the FA Cup.
