FARSLEY bring the curtain down on their home fixtures tomorrow but there are still two important games looming – most notably the Evo-Stik League Cup final at Stockport County's Edgeley Park.

Their penultimate Division One North fixture sees them hosting long-term rivals Kendal Town, who have had an even more disappointing season than Neil Parsley's men.

The Lakeland outfit were expected to be promotion contenders but are a lowly 16th and cannot break the 50-point watershed or finish in the top half of the table.

Farsley crept back into the top half with a deserved but hard-earned point from a goalless midweek draw at Clitheroe and they will be hoping for a much higher finish. A win this weekend could take them as high as eighth, depending on other results.

Parsley's side have been inconsistent of late and Tuesday's good performance was a reaction to a shock defeat at relegation-threatened Prescot Cables last Saturday. But BRIGHOUSE TOWN could not be in better form as they head to Prescot tomorrow.

A five-game unbeaten run has lifted Town to 49 points and 14th place, beating both Farsley and Kendal in that sequence of results.

The only two draws from those last five games were creditable ones against Droylsden and Warrington Town, who enjoyed a good run in the FA Cup and had two televised games.

Town won the reverse fixture against Prescot 6-3 at the end September. That was the first time that Paul Quinn's men had scored more than two goals in the Evo-Stik League following their promotion.
