FARSLEY head to Burscough in Evo-Stik Division One North on Saturday, looking to extend their three-match winning run and climb back into the play-off places.

Neil Parsley’s men are just outside the promotion play-off zone but have games in hand on all five of the clubs above them in the table.

They are looking to breech the 30-point barrier, and need just one point to do that but they will be aiming for more.

Mid-table Burscough are eight places lower and seven points worse off than their visitors, despite having played four games more so far.

Farsley will hope to exploit Burscough’s leaky defence. The home side are conceding almost two goals per game, while Parsley’s attack-minded side are scoring an average of more than two per game.

Brighouse Town will also be aiming to increase their points total with a maximum as they host basement outfit Padiham.

Town are ten points better off than their visitors, who have played two games more.

However, Paul Quinn will have warned his players about complacency after Padiham’s result against Farsley.

One of their two wins from 18 starts was a 3-1 victory over the promotion chasers.
