FARSLEY boss Neil Parsley is doing all he can to prevent lightning striking twice as his side take on lowly Prescot Cables in the Evo-Stik Division One North.
The Throstle Nest outfit suffered a shock 3-1 defeat to rock-bottom Padiham in their last game – only the Lancashire side’s second win of the season. They also exited the FA Trophy last Saturday after putting up a brave fight in their 2-0 home defeat by Blyth Spartans.
Farsley are anxious to bank another three points after having their midweek game with Ossett Town called off because their opponents were involved in an FA Trophy replay.
Parsley said: “We knew the Ossett game was off and we were pleased in a way that we had a free week. It gave us the chance to get two days of training and prepare properly for the Prescot game.
“It was a good performance against Blyth Spartans and I thought it warranted a replay. We didn’t get the rub of the green but we put a side from a higher division under a lot of pressure.
“There are no fresh injuries and confidence is high so everyone is looking forward to getting back out there on the pitch.”
