HAVING banked their prize-money from the last round, Farsley and Brighouse Town are looking for another FA Cup windfall when they play in the first qualifying round tomorrow.
However, after beating lower-ranked sides in the preliminary round on their way to picking up £1,925, they must triumph against clubs from the next level to earn the £3,000 on offer this weekend.
Farsley and Town, both from Evo-Stik Division One North, play clubs from the top tier of their league – but both have home advantage.
Neil Parsley’s men host Frickley Athletic, while Paul Quinn’s charges are at home to Ashton United.
Farsley have had a very good start in the league and will be full of confidence, while their visitors will be looking to the cup for some cheer as they are rock bottom of the Premier Division and have not won on the road in four starts.
Brighouse have established themselves quickly since promotion last term and they will be keen to test themselves against Ashton, who are lower mid-table in the division above.
