FARSLEY cruised to a big victory in their latest friendly last night with Marcus Edwards hitting four goals on his debut.

Edwards, signed from Eccleshill United in the close season, starred in the 8-2 victory at Hemsworth MW.

Aiden Savory and skipper Rob O’Brien were on target before Edwards netted Farsley’s third. Edwards bagged a second-half hat-trick with O’Brien and substitute Brownlee adding the other goals.

Thackley were 2-0 winners at Barnoldswick Town with goals from Mike Garrod and Joe Keen after a goalless first half.

Tonight sees Guiseley heading to Clitheroe, Silsden hosting Harrogate Railway Athletic and Livesedge at home to Beeston St Anthony as the friendlies continue.

Guiseley boss Mark Bower is taking his full first team squad after Saturday’s home friendly against Nuneaton Town was cancelled.
