Farsley AFC suffered a surprise postponement when their Evo-Stik League match at Ramsbottom United was called off a little over half an hour before the scheduled kick-off.
The inactivity hit both clubs’ Division One North promotion aims but it is Farsley who are holding on to the last place in the play-off zone by the skin of their teeth. Neil Parsley’s men remained fifth but on goal difference only.
Farsley are one of four clubs separated by just four points – but their fate is now in their own hands as their rivals no longer have games in hand over them.
A victory for Bamber Bridge saw them leapfrog Ramsbottom and join Farsley on 66 points but their goal difference is slightly worse.
Lancaster City also won, so they are now three points better off than Farsley, while Ramsbottom remain one point worse off. All four clubs have just eight games remaining.
