Farsley set to play leapfrog again

Farsley face a second meeting with Clitheroe this month as the Evo-Stik Division One promotion hopefuls go head to head.

They clashed at Throstle Nest a fortnight ago when Neil Parsley’s men earned a 3-0 victory but Farsley are again faced with having to win to leapfrog their rivals.

The first win saw Farsley move into second place, at the expense of Clitheroe, on goal difference.

Farsley have endured a home defeat to lower mid-table Cammell Laird since and were held to a 1-1 home draw last time out, so are not in the best of form.

However, should Parsley mastermind another victory, this time on Lancashire soil, then his side would be back in at least third.

Parsley said: “All the games are big ones at the moment but that’s what you want.

"It is a tough schedule with games against Curzon Ashton (1-1 draw last Tuesday), Clitheroe – again – and then Trafford (next Tuesday) who are right up there.”
