Eccleshill United enjoyed a rare but thoroughly deserved victory as Andy Howland grabbed a quickfire brace late in the second half to clinch a 2-0 win at Armthorpe Welfare last night.
The home side were fifth in the Northern Counties East Premier Division before the loss and Eagles manager Mick Watson was delighted with the three points.
"For once we got what we deserved," said Watson. "The players have done what we know they are capable of."
