Eccleshill United
Eccleshill sent crashing by leaders
Winterton Rangers 7, Eccleshill United 1
The Eagles were never in it as their Lincolnshire hosts romped to a big win that stretched their lead at the top of the Northern Counties East Premier Division to 13 points.
The league's
leading scorer, Rob Northern, once again took centre stage with four goals. Andy Holt threatened to upstage his team-mate by breaking the deadlock in the tenth minute and adding a second in the 39th.
Northern chipped in with his first in first-half injury time before Dave Watson netted Rangers' fourth just two minutes after the break.
Luke Richardson gave the Eagles brief respite with a goal but the last word went to Northern, who bagged his second in the 52nd minute, claimed his hat-trick in the 75th and his fourth nine
minutes from time.
It could have been worse for United as he thumped a shot against the post in injury time.
