Eccleshill United got themselves off the bottom of the Kool Spoirt Northern Counties East League First Division with four points from back-to-back fixtures at the start of the month but one defeat and two postponements since have prevented them from gaining momentum.
They travel to 12th-placed Rossington Main on Saturday with no fresh injury concerns and a burning desire to play some football.
The Eagles have just 13 points but five games in hand on Rossington, who they could overtake.
