ECCLESHILL United's recent run has taken them to the summit of Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One and they will be looking to consolidate their lead when they make a trip to Glasshoughton Welfare tomorrow.

The Eagles have won 16 of their last 17 league games and their 4-0 midweek win over mid-table Ollerton Town was their tenth straight victory in all competitions.

Sean Regan's men will be determined to maintain their recent form to stay ahead of Knaresborough Town who they replaced at the summit.

They will be just as focused on beating tenth-placed Glasshoughton as they were for their first game of November, when they ended Knaresborough's unbeaten start.

Eccleshill's local rivals Campion have fought their way back into the play-off places in recent weeks and they will hope to stay there as they host NCEL newcomers Swallownest.

Liversedge are the only one of the area's three representatives in the top tier to have a home game this weekend.

Sedge will be champing at the bit after their midweek trip to Harrogate Railway Athletic was postponed. Jonathan Rimmington's men will look to turn their frustrations into three points against Clipstone. The visitors are yet to bank as much as a point after 20 straight league defeats.

Thackley face a test as they journey to AFC Mansfield, who are third place in the NCEL Premier Division. The hosts have played one game fewer but have amassed 22 points more than the Dennyboys this season.

Albion Sports are also away to a side much higher in the table. The Lions are experiencing a difficult season and were knocked out of the League Cup in midweek. They travel to seventh-placed Maltby Main tomorrow.

Silsden are still riding high in Hallmark Security League Division One, having got back to winning ways against Nelson after their 100 per cent record after 17 league games was finally ended by Holker Old Boys.

They are still 13 points clear at the summit as they cross the Pennine to take on Bacup Borough. The Lancastrians are a lowly 18th but have up to four games in hand on teams around them.
