TOMORROW is the last day of the regular season for clubs in the Evo-Stik League and while Farsley Celtic hope it is the conclusion of their campaign, Brighouse Town are looking to gatecrash the play-off party.

FARSLEY had looked set to land the Division One North title, and the one automatic place that goes with it, last Monday but a Bank Holiday home defeat to Ossett Town toppled them.

The Celts are the leading scorers and have the best goal difference in the division but are now one point behind new leaders Lancaster City.

The two clubs are so close that if Farsley draw and Lancaster lose, then Farsley are champions, but if the Dolly Blues win it does not matter what the Celts do and they will have to earn promotion via the play-offs.

Farsley have top scorer James Walshaw back from suspension as they travel to Kendal Town, who lost 3-0 to Lancaster on Monday.

BRIGHOUSE are two points outside the play-off places but are looking for the win that could see them sneak in via the back door.

It will be a big ask as they face a tough game at Clitheroe, the club immediately below them in the table, and will need other results to go their way as well.

Yet Brighouse cannot be written off as they have lost fewer games than any of the seven clubs above them – and four less than leaders Lancaster, who travel to Glossop North End, the club immediately above Town and just one point better off.

The two Bradford clubs in Division One of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League may have both missed out on the play-offs but there are still bragging rights to play for as they could yet end the season on equal points.

New boys CAMPION are the best of the rest going into the final day of the season as James Bicknell's men are in seventh spot, just outside the play-off zone but 13 points adrift.

ECCLESHILL UNITED are two places behind their neighbours but only trail by three points – although the chance to overhaul Campion is highly unlikely, given the 14-goal difference between them.

Both clubs end the campaign with tough home fixtures, with Campion hosting a Hall Road Rangers side looking to claim the title.

A win for the visitors would see them pip Emley, who have completed their 42 games, to top spot but a defeat could see Rangers drop out of the top two and into the play-offs.

Eccleshill host Hallam, who are sixth and guaranteed a play-off place. The Sheffield outfit could climb to fifth with a win, which would give them a more favourable opponent in the play offs.

In Division One of the Hallmark Security League, SILSDEN will be in good spirits after banking six points over the Easter weekend but they face a difficult game at promotion-chasing Alsager Town.

The Cobbydalers have three games remaining as they seek a top-ten finish but a defeat this weekend could drop them down to 11th.
