Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division: Albion Sports 2 Worksop Town 0

ALBION Sports hauled themselves into third place in the top flight last night with a deserved home win over Worksop Town.

Devonte Morton netted the only goal of the first half with a solo effort, and Albion made sure of the three points eight minutes from time when Danny Facey rounded the keeper to slot in after taking substitute Karl Hall’s through ball.

In Division One, there was another bad home display from Eccleshill United as they were humbled by AFC Emley.

The first period was goalless but the statistics were a true reflection of the game, even though they make harsh reading for the Eagles.

Second-half goals from Jordan Coduri, Ashley Flynn and Kieran Ryan all but ended the contest.

The Eagles pulled one back through Matt Mathers when he converted Luke Harrop’s 72nd-minute corner but the visitors ran out comfortable 5-1 winners as Alex Slack and Matt Jackson added late strikes.
