LIVERSEDGE are marooned at the foot of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division following another home postponement, and there are doubts about Saturday’s game.

Sedge are due to host promotion-chasing Worksop Town but the snow and even more wintry rain throughout the week is threatening the fixture.

It will be 126 days on Saturday since Sedge last played at Clayborn.

Thackley are also scheduled to be at home, with Garforth Town set to make the short trip.

The reverse fixture was a long-running saga after the Dennyboys were 4-0 up with less than 15 minutes remaining, only for the game to be abandoned due to fog.

The side’s met in the re-arranged fixture in January but was dogged by floodlight problems.

A section of the pitch was plunged into darkness, with Thackley in the lead, but continued after emergency repair work. The Dennyboys edged it 4-3 thanks to Tom Dugdale’s late winner.

Sean Regan’s Eccleshill United are in need of a confidence-boosting victory in Division One, following back-to-back defeats.

The Eagles travel to Glasshoughton Welfare and Regan is hoping to have some of his first-choice players back after being dogged by injuries and unavailability.
