SEAN Regan's first game in charge of Eccleshill United was certainly eventful as his side took the lead three times but needed a stoppage-time equaliser to snatch a point from a ten-goal thriller at Hall Road Rangers.

There was an electric start to the Toolstation Northern Counties East League game, with the sides locked at 2-2 after just ten minutes of the Division One clash.

Adam Turner gave the Eagles a second-minute lead but Daniel Walker equalised three minutes later.

Rangers then went in front through Scott McKay, only to see Brett Catley cancel that out.

The teams reached the break without further addition but the Eagles were back in front in the first minute of the second half thanks to an Andy Cooper strike.

Just before the hour mark, Callum Harrison equalised again – but two minutes later, Cooper's second goal put the Eagles back in front.

Harrison's second levelled again for Rangers and the home side thought they had won it in the fourth minute of stoppage time when Ben Kinsley gave them a 5-4 lead.

But Regan's men had the last say as Turner netted a dramatic equaliser in the fifth minute of time added on.

There was also a goal-fest at Brigg Town in the Premier Division as they shared eight goals with visitors Thackley, who earned a point courtesy of a last-minute own goal.

Basement outfit Brigg are under new management and are picking up by proving to be a hard team to beat, especially at home. They recently battled back to hold Albion Sports to a 3-3 draw at The Hawthornes.

The Zebras were just as determined against the Dennyboys but could not see the game out after going 4-1 up midway through the second half.

The home side broke the deadlock in the 13th minute via Finn Kelly. Craig Bentham equalised for the Dennyboys but two goals in a two-minute spell had the home side 3-1 up at the interval.

Oliver Skerret put Brigg back in front before an own goal, awarded against Thackley centre back Josh Snowden when it was right back Baz Littlefair who got the last touch past Dennyboys keeper Matt Keen, put them two goals to the good.

Zebras substitute David Dean increased their lead in the 65th minute but the comeback started four minutes later when Bentham netted his second.

Ben Beckles made it 4-3 ten minutes from time and the match ended all-square after George Farr was accredited with an own goal as he deflected Thomas Dugdale's last-minute shot.
