LIVERSEDGE need all the home comforts Clayborn can offer tomorrow as they seek an end to what seems an interminable losing sequence in the Northern Counties East League.

Sedge's last points came from a 2-1 derby win over Albion Sports on the first day of last month, since when they have lost seven Premier Division games and been dumped out of two cup competitions.

That run has left them 18th in the table – but they would leapfrog opponents Maltby Main if they can break the cycle, although the visitors are in possibly a false position as they have played fewest games in the section.

ALBION will be looking to bounce back after losing another local derby in midweek. They had the chance to improve on ninth place when they hosted Thackley but were beaten 3-1.

That will make boss Kulwinder Sandhu doubly determined to get back to winning ways as he takes his troops to mid-table Parkgate, who have taken just one point from their last four games.

THACKLEY will be bursting with pride and confidence following the midweek victory over their neighbours, which lifted Chris Reape's side out of the drop zone, but they face another stern test.

The Dennyboys travel to Staveley MW, who are in the top half of the table and have won four of their last six games. It appears that the hosts are an all-or-nothing team as they have yet to play out a draw.

Mid-table ECCLESHILL UNITED are at home in Division One but they will have to upset the odds if they are to get a win.

The Eagles host leaders AFC Mansfield, who have yet to drop a point away from home and have lost only one league game this season.

Mansfield are four points clear at the summit but Eccleshill are a wounded animal as they look to put last weekend's 5-3 defeat at Knaresborough Town behind them.
