ALBION SPORTS fielded an experimental side in Saturday's pre-season friendly at Otley Town and took a first-half lead through Alex Cusack but had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Cusack was the lone striker in the opening 45 minutes, with Marcus Edwards and Danny Cunningham coming on after the interval.

Plenty of chances were created in the second period but Albion failed to add to their tally and Otley levelled through James Wilson in a rare foray.

Toolstation Northern Counties East League newcomers Hull United thumped Premier Division visitors LIVERSEDGE 5-0 after a close first half.

The home side led just 1-0 at the break but fired four past Sedge in the second period.

ECCLESHILL UNITED were 4-2 winners at Oxenhope, who had held Thackley to a draw the previous weekend.

Adam Turner opened the scoring for the Eagles but a Luke Craven own goal saw the home side pull level and they then took a 2-1 lead through Dean Wharham.

The Eagles hit back minutes later when Nathan Woodward equalised and second-half strikes from Luke Harrop and Ben Hardy saw them to a good victory.

SILSDEN earned a confidence-boosting 2-1 win over Evo-Stik League outfit Bamber Bridge.

Craig Nicholls netted a brace for the Cobbydalers, with Daren Green hitting the Lancashire visitors' reply.

FARSLEY CELTIC had a free weekend after playing their fourth game in seven days on Friday night and winning 3-2.

Farsley took the lead at Hemsworth MW when Lewis Nightingale broke the deadlock in the ninth minute.

Hemsworth levelled before the break but Nightingale was fouled in the area in the second half and Aaron Hardy netted the resulting penalty.

Nightingale completed his brace, which proved to be the winning goal, after the home side had equalised for a second time.
