ALBION SPORTS faced a rearranged fixture in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division as they headed to Pickering Town instead of Worksop Town but took the change in their stride.

Albion took the lead three times and made it stick the third time to run out 3-2 victors. Scheduled hosts Worksop were involved in the FA Vase but they went down 1-0 at home to Silsden’s league rivals Glossop North End.

Albion took an early lead through Danny Facey after Matt Mathers had headed down Asif Hussain’s long through ball but the home side levelled through Lewis Taylor after 21 minutes.

Skipper Hussain was the provider as Albion edged back in front just before the hour but it was Alex Cusack’s 30-yard lob that beat the home keeper. Albion failed to protect that lead as Ryan Cooper equalised two minutes later.

Kulwinder Sandhu’s men found the winner just over ten minutes from time when Matt Morgan’s wicked cross was headed home by Arran Basi.

THACKLEY enjoyed their first home game since November 22 as they romped to a 4-1 win over Maltby Main with a Nicky McNally hat-trick.

The visitors broke the deadlock when Brian Cusworth capitalised after the home side had given the ball away in midfield but McNally levelled a minute later. The Dennyboys turned around a goal to the good after Mike Garrod scored from the spot after being brought down a minute before half-time.

McNally added his second just three minutes into the second half after latching on to a well directed clearance from keeper Ed Hall. Garrod was unselfish just after the hour when he laid the ball across the six yard box for McNally to slot in his first treble for the club.

LIVERSEDGE picked up another point with a 1-1 draw at Parkgate. Eli Hey gave Sedge a tenth-minute lead but Ryan Johnson levelled midway through the first half.

In Division One, ECCLESHILL UNITED ended a losing run with a 1-1 draw at Winterton Rangers. Charley Flaherty broke the deadlock just before the hour with a well-taken goal but the home side hit back just over five minutes later through Bradley McKay.
