ALBION Sports climbed up to tenth in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division with a 7-1 demolition of struggling Armthorpe Welfare at Throstle Nest last night.

The visitors stunned Albion when they broke the deadlock but the home side immediately hit back when Brice Tiani fired in from the edge of the area.

And the home side were soon in the lead thanks to a Karl Hall header.

The same pair added almost identical goals as Albion went into the half-time break 4-1 to the good.

James Firth netted a long-range screamer in the second half before Danny Facey and Ferdinand Annor wrapped up the scoring.

There was no joy for ECCLESHILL UNITED in Division One as Pontefract Collieries leapfrogged them into third place.

The Eagles contributed to their own downfall by conceding two penalties in a 3-2 defeat.

Adam McCabe and John Rogers were on target, with Rogers’ strike a mere consolation three minutes from time.
