John Deacey and mentor Lee Sinnott go head to head tomorrow night as Bradford Park Avenue travel to Altrincham in the Conference North.

The former Bantams defender and the Avenue boss are great friends and enjoy crossing swords, although Sinnott goes into this latest battle with his side very much the favourites.

Avenue are on a good run and have not conceded a goal for four games but remain 12th, while fourth-placed Altrincham are in the thick of the play-off chase.

The Bradford side yesterday announced the signing of central defender Spencer Harris. He began the season with neighbours Guiseley, who are also in action this evening.

The Lions are at Stalybridge Celtic for a game Mark Bower’s men will be expected to win.

Guiseley are unbeaten in nine games and are now just three points outside the play-off zone. Their hosts are just above the trapdoor, by one point.

Eccleshill United face a quick turnaround following their win in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Cup quarter-finals on Monday night as they host Louth Town in a Division One clash.
