We're not safe yet, warns Todd

Colin Todd has warned City: Look out behind you.

As Todd hones his new-look side for the challenge of Nottingham Forest on Saturday, the message from the top is that they are far from safe at the bottom.

Cheltenham's shock win at Bristol City on Wednesday cut the gap to the fourth relegation spot to seven points - and the six sides immediately below the 14th-placed Bantams all have a game in hand.

"We have to get points on the board and put some daylight between us and the bottom," said Todd.

"This home game is vital and we can't afford to get dragged into an uncomfortable position.

"There are a lot of teams involved down there but we don't want to be looking over our shoulders." Todd could make as many five changes after a breathless week of comings and goings at the Intersonic Stadium.

New loan trio Bruce Dyer, Billy Paynter and Kelly Youga are all set to go straight in and Richard Edghill returns at right back for his first start since New Year's Day following Nathan Doyle's unexpected exit.

Craig Bentham, dropped to the bench last week, should come back in midfield for Carlos Logan, who he replaced at half-time.

Todd will be glad of the very different pressures of match day after a hectic few days spent glued to his mobile phone. Jermaine Johnson's departure to Sheffield Wednesday was unwanted but hardly came as a shock given the rife speculation.

But it kicked off a frenzied period of ins and outs and Todd admitted he has had to keep minds focused in the dressing room.

He added: "Morale has been very good in the camp and we are professional people. But players can be temperamental and they must have been looking at what has happened and wondering what the gaffer will do now.

"But it's good for them all to see new players - we'd have been in dire straits without them.

"It's a great game to be starting in and the atmosphere will be good with the decent number of away fans.

"Forest are a big club with their tradition but we have to make sure we have no fear of their so-called reputation and get among them."
