SOUTHOWRAM and Sowerby St Peter’s have withdrawn from the Spenser Wilson Halifax League's Sunday section due to difficulties in raising sides.
Fixtures start on Sunday with round-robin matches in the Rod Warhurst Cup, and it was too late for the league's executive committee to re-organise matches.
As a result, there will be an imbalance in Groups A and D of the cup and Division One and Division Two of the league but the clubs without a match are encouraged to ring each other to arrange friendlies.
