Beale and Old Hee are closed on Sunday for the Yorkshire Winter League. The 2008 Yearbooks are now in all the local shops. Night fishing is allowed at Kirklees Lagoon and Knotford Lagoon for the 2008 season. The price will be £50 on a first come, first served basis as there are a limited number. These are only available from John Sparks, the ticket and licence secretary. Waters fishing well at the moment are Shelf Dam and Willow Hall Dam. The rivers should fish better this weekend after the recent floods.
LISTERHILLS AA
The last match at Pilley's Dam was fished in poor conditions. The winner, with a catch of small fish, was E Harrison (2lb 4oz), 2 P Neale (1lb 14oz). There were joint winners for this year's Merit Trophy: A Tomkins and G Farrar. Not many anglers have been on the bank during the last couple of weeks. All catch reports are welcome.
SALTAIRE AA
Last week's canal match was won by N Smith with 8lb 12oz, 2 J Leeds 5lb 7oz, 3 D Boland 5lb 4oz. This week's canal match will be pegged between Dockfield swing bridge and Saltaire.
