Baildon go second after second-half spree
4:20pm Sunday 21st October 2012 in Sport By Andy Whitley
Richard Kingham, right, scored his first try of the season for Baildon
Baildon 41, Hessle 0
In the end Baildon eased past bottom club Hessle in this SSE Yorkshire Division Three clash but it took a while before the Jenny Laners began to rack up the points against spirited resistance from the East Yorkshire outfit.
A 32nd-minute penalty from centre Jarrod Huss, followed by a try from flanker Ben Newton, converted by Huss, gave the Jenny Laners a 10-0 lead at the break.
Huss bagged and improved a try for himself six minutes after the break but had to be withdrawn four minutes later after suffering a leg injury.
Left winger Richard Kingham crossed for his first try of the season on 54 minutes, followed by a bonus-point effort from full back Jake Duxbury five minutes later.
Right winger JJ O'Connell grabbed himself a late brace to round off a solid second-half performance by the Jenny Laners which moved them up to second in the table.
