Hot-shot Sangster proves an unstoppable four-ce for Bradford Park Avenue Eagles

Bradford Park Avenue Eagles under-12s continued their impressive start to the season with their best performance yet, winning 6-1 at Horsforth Colts in Craven, Aire & Wharfe League Division D.

Eisa Faulding got the visitors off to a great start when his 20-yard strike gave the Eagles an early lead.

They soon found themselves 2-0 up when Kian Hutchinson beat his man in the corner before producing a great cross to the back post, where goal machine Zac Sangster fired home.

Sangster then chased down what looked to be a lost cause, outrunning the Colts defence before finishing from a tight angle.

He capped a great first half by claiming his third hat-trick in five games after finding himself on hand to fire home.

After the break, Danny Frost showed great skill in the corner before delivering a dangerous cross which led to Tyler Rhodes claiming a deserved goal with a neat finish.

Sangster added his fourth of the game to make it 6-0 before the home side claimed a late consolation.

In an end-to-end match at Woodhall Road, Burley came out 5-3 winners against Prospect in Under-15 D. Burley went into a three-goal interval lead before Prospect stormed back in an exciting second-half recovery to draw level at 3-3 with two goals from Jordon Farrell and a Sam Gray strike.

Then a very late rally by Burley saw Prospect caught on the break twice to give the away side victory.

Albion Sports’ under-15s won 3-0 at derby rivals Campion.

Midway through the first half, Albion deservedly led when Krishan Patel slotted home from inside the box after some good play by Umar Karim. They doubled their lead when Patel turned neatly inside the box and fired a low shot into the corner of the net.

With Cameron Green and Anas Ahmed dominating midfield, Albion increased their lead when left back Hussain Ibrar fired home from 20 yards.

Bradford Park Avenue under-15s overcame previously unbeaten Skipton LMS 4-3 in Division Two.

Avenue conceded an early penalty but keeper Danny Walker made an excellent save, although Skipton’s livewire striker soon broke clear to fire them in front.

Avenue drew level when a quick throw caught the Skipton defence napping and Kenny Tafireyi drilled the ball past the keeper.

However, Avenue conceded two more before half-time to go in at the break 3-1 behind.

The second half saw Skipton change formation and Avenue hit back when Tom Bentham slipped the ball past the advancing keeper.

Man-of-the-match Sam Kelemen then drew the sides level with a 20-yard free-kick and, in an increasingly frenzied atmosphere, Ibby Wazir finished from close range after good work by Tafireyi to secure the victory.

Dominic Corps was the star of the BPA Lizards under-12s side in their 12-1 romp at home to BD7 in the Keybury League.

Dudley Hill Rangers under-nines preserved their 100 per cent start to the season with an 11-0 win over Westwood Jets. Harry Norton and Dominic Howard both hit hat-tricks, with a brace each for Spencer Dunk and Karl Kwedi.

However, the goal of the game was scored by Kian Howard, who smashed the ball in direct from a short corner.

Westwood Jets under-tens made it three wins out of three thanks to a fine victory over Keighley Shamrocks, with Lewis Dunn (2) and Andy Hewiston on target.

Also in the Keybury League, Albion Sports under-sevens were beaten 7-4 at home by Baildon Dynamos.

Albion’s goals came from captain Luke Jeffreys, who bagged a treble, and stand-out player Yousuf Ali.

Ben Cockroft bagged another hat-trick for Baildon Dynamos, Alfie Turner (2), Harvey Menzies and Connor Holmes adding the other goals. Baildon's man-of-the-match honours went to George Robinson after a fine display of tackling and passing.

Albion Sports under-eights were thumped 12-1 at home by Silsden.

Both teams boasted 100 per cent records going into the game but a depleted Albion side were taught a footballing lesson by a well-organised Silsden outfit.

Albion found an inspired Silsden keeper each time they attacked. Their solitary goal came from manb of the match Luke Jeffreys.

Guiseley Yellows ground out a 2-0 win over Baildon Dynamos in a tight game.

Nathan Hayward made some great saves for Baildon, with star man Ben Stevens excelling all over the pitch. Wyke Wanderers A under-nines beat league leaders Warley Rangers 5-0 in the Huddersfield RCD League.

Reuben Davis netted to make it 1-0 at half-time before Jacob Smith scored one of his trademark 20-yard efforts after the break.

The B team also won after being handed an own goal early on before Logan Jean-Jacques converted Matthew Leaper’s corner to make it 2-0 at half-time.

Wyke were left hanging on though after conceding a penalty in the second half for handball, which was duly converted to make it 2-1.

Wanderers under-11s beat Hade Edge Juniors 5-2.
