Bradford Bulls: Craig Kopczak gets nod to play for Wales

Craig Kopczak has been cleared to play for Wales in Saturday’s international against France in Lens.

The 25-year-old’s future at club level is uncertain after he terminated his contract of employment with the Bulls last month.

Wales feared the current impasse would threaten his chances of representing his country but Rugby Football League director Blake Solly confirmed that Kopczak will be free to play this weekend, regardless of the outcome of an investigation into his walk-out at Bradford.

Solly said the governing body clarified the situation, particularly over the question of insurance, with Wales Rugby League today ahead of their get-together in Ewloe, Flintshire.

Kopczak, a candidate to take on the captaincy for the games against France and England, is thought to have been offered a lucrative deal with Super League rivals Huddersfield.

That sparked an RFL investigation which Solly revealed was nearing a conclusion, saying: “We are waiting on the investigation report. Final witnesses were interviewed last week and it should be with us tomorrow.”

This is not right until the contract situation is sorted out he should not be playing for any one.

Typical non-decision by the RFL - total joke, a complete disgrace as always.

As the article says, he terminated his contract, so what's it got to do with you lot. He clearly has no interest in playing for the brb's.

Poses the question of who will he be contracted to when his respective club credit comes up. ie Craig Kopczak- unknown? Who along with his ex team mate Elliot Kear- Bradford Bulls has been picked for Wales!!

Journalists will have a field day.

Unattached! Bulls won't get the glory for this one, quite the opposite. journalists will have a field day writing about the embarrassing decline of Bradford bulls.
Cummins states he can't make a signing until Kopczak situation is resolved...does that mean if he was to stay bulls would go into 2013 with only 19 players!!!!

You are as daft as your name implies.

your motto should be always look for a dark cloud on the horizon.

Incidently you have no idea what constitutes a story for the papers have you? Still they always say ignorance is bliss.

Can we assume you lead a blissful life?
