Buttershaw White Star aim to bounce back after cup shock

Bradford Sunday Alliance League champions Buttershaw White Star will look to put their shock West Riding County FA Sunday Cup exit behind them in another knockout competition tomorrow.

White Star, who bowed out 3-2 to a last-minute King George winner last week, visit fellow Premier Division side Dudley Hill Rangers in a League Senior Cup second-round tie.

Another interesting clash is the all-Division One match-up between Peel Park and White Eagles, who will be looking to reverse the league result between the sides in August.

Oakworth Juniors have renowned cup fighters West Bowling as visitors in what should be a good test for the Keighley outfit.

Bowling have reached the County Sunday Cup final for the last three seasons, winning the trophy on two of those occasions.

Supporters will hope the all-Premier Division tie between promoted Thornton United and Baildon Trinity Athletic is as exciting as their league clash earlier in the season, when they hit eight between them.

There is also one third-round tie this weekend and that sees Queensbury of the Premier Division face Division One visitors Oakenshaw.
