Bradford City: Rory McArdle's international call-up
7:54am Thursday 11th October 2012 in Sport
By Simon Parker, Bradford City Reporter
Rory McArdle has been called up by Northern Ireland
Rory McArdle has been called up for Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier in Portugal next week.
The Bradford City defender was added to Michael O'Neill's squad for Tuesday's game in Porto after Hull's Joe Dudgeon pulled out with a knee injury.
Northern Ireland are already without West Brom centre half Gareth McAuley, who is suspended after picking up two bookings.
McArdle has been involved in every City game so far this season, starting all but one of them. But he will miss the York clash after flying to Belfast yesterday.
McArdle's last cap was as a substitute in the 6-0 thrashing in Holland in June in the week he joined the Bantams.

A little off topic here and I cant beleive here or the main city site dont have an article about the excellent night we all had at the Bobby Campbell book launch.
With a lot of old favourites there some of their stories about old Bobby were hilarious. Im sure those that went will agree it was an excellent night

I think it was Mark Ellis who told this story that when he was quite new to the club and bobby was playing cards, he kept advising him which cards to play.
Bobby said to him shut up and dont say another word or else but Mark been Mark opened his mouth again, so Bobby tied his neck with something and tied it to a railing on the coach all the way back from Ipswich.
About 2 hours in with Mark in agony I think it was David Markham who was about to untie him and Bobby says to him Dave if you untie him ill tie you up too.
My writing isnt that good but it was a funny story when we got told.
Again a great night
