Still time to enter top Bradford competitions

The deadline for entries to the Hey’s Trophy snooker team competition has been extended by a week and they are now due in by Monday at the latest.

In addition, with entries slow to come in, the deadline for the Bradford snooker singles and pairs events has been extended to next Friday.

If any club or player wishes to enter these competitions, they should initially contact Richard Bakes (07940-651850) verbally with a view to sending entry fees by the deadline.

The Moorhouse Shield billiards team event deadline remains October 31.

* England international Kevin Firth is in action at the George Scott Snooker Club in Liverpool on Sunday for the opening event of the EASB Seniors Tour season.

This promises to be a highly competitive tour but Bradford potter Firth, together with Jonathon Bagley of Leeds, are expected to finish high up the rankings by the end of the season.
