Near miss for Otley in badminton league

Otley’s A and B teams both gave a good account of themselves before being edged out in their opening league fixtures at Farsley.

The A side, with regulars Phil Crook and Simon Mather unavailable, were pipped 5-4 in Division Three of the Leeds League.

And a 6-3 victory for Farsley in the B match flattered the hosts, with the individual rubbers being so close that the final scoreline could easily have been reversed.
