Buttershaw White Star may be top of the Bradford Sunday Alliance League but they could not avoid crashing out of the West Riding County FA Sunday Cup at the first hurdle.

The Premier Division pace-setters bowed out 3-2 as Wakefield-based hosts King George grabbed a last-minute winner.

Goals from Graeme Sides and Jordan Missin had left White Star clear favourites with five minutes to go.

But Devon McKintosh equalised and, with extra time looming, Danny Critchlowe’s second of the match ended the Bradford League champions’ hopes.

Tyersal took the lead at home to Fryston but eventually bowed out 4-1.

Ben Kendall’s penalty counted for little as the visitors surged 3-1 ahead by the interval. A further goal at the start of the second half then killed the contest.

An all-Alliance tie saw Mill Lane hit double figures against Dog & Gun, winning 10-2 as Liam Charles hit four goals and Josh Milner a hat-trick.

White Hart Eccleshill brushed aside Woodman Wibsey 5-0, with 17-year-old Aidan Rhodes grabbing the first goal.

A bad-tempered match between Sandy Lane and Burley United was abandoned by the referee after an hour with the Bradford side leading 4-1 after the Wharfedale visitors had seen FIVE players dismissed.

Peel Park needed extra time before finally seeing off dogged hosts Waterintobeer 6-3.

From 1-0 down at half-time against the run of play, Park surged 3-1 up thanks to a Matthew Hannan hat-trick, only to be pegged back to 3-3 late on.

But the Bradford team got their act together in extra time and goals from Steve Smith, Anthony Hannan and Brian Carr put them safely through.

Victoria Rangers missed out 2-0 at North Featherstone and Baildon Trinity Athletic were sunk 5-3 away to Keighley Town.

Anthony Firth hit seven goals and Marshall Nyawdoro five as Delius crushed Eccleshill 16-0 in the West Riding County FA Sunday Trophy.

Phil Holmes cracked a hat-trick for Thornton United Reserves in their 7-1 thrashing of Leeds side Republica Internationale.

AFC Titans edged out Punch Bowl Cleckheaton by the odd goal in five in a terrific encounter.

Park had Damian Melvyn and Mick Porter on target but still bowed out 5-2 at home to Bardsey.
