Teenager Tommy Hawthorn is furthering his wrestling education by training with world and Olympic champion Jordan Burroughs in America.
Hawthorn has travelled to Nebraska with fellow Bradford Wrestling Club members Jack Peterken and Jack Waldron and is not due back home until mid-December.
The trio aim to compete in tournaments throughout the United States during their time there.
They will also visit Lindenwood University in Missouri, where 17-year-old Hawthorn’s sister Katie is wrestling while studying on a four-year degree course.
Hawthorn’s father and coach Jimmy said: “Tommy needed to get to the next level and has decided America is where he wants to train.
“Hopefully he will get noticed and maybe get some kind of scholarship offered for next year.”
