Southcott stars for Bingley Harriers

Bingley Harriers had five youngsters competing in the recent Yorkshire Combined Events Championship at Leeds Carnegie.

Their best finisher was Rhea Southcott in the under-13 girls, taking a silver medal with 1,314 points, while clubmate Abigail Lampkin was 15th after a personal best of 4.23 metres in the long jump.

Hollie Postlethwaite was fourth in the under-17 girls, notching personal bests in the high jump (1.53m) and long jump (4.60m), while Lily Dooks was sixth with 2,437 points.

Her brother Tommy Thorp was seventh in the under-15 boys with 902 points.
