Halifax coach Karl Harrison is delighted to have signed the versatile Scott Murrell
Halifax have signed Bradford Bulls target Scott Murrell on a two-year deal.
Murrell, a 27-year-old who began his career with Leeds Rhinos, has spent the last seven years at Hull KR.
Primarily a stand-off, Murrell has also played hooker, loose forward and second row in Super League.
“I think Scott’s been a bit unlucky with Rovers; he was offered a new deal but their budgets changed and he ended up missing out,” said Halifax coach Karl Harrison.
“He’s been a rock for their team over the last seven years and I’m really pleased we’ve been able to sign him."
Added the former Bulls assistant coach and Cougars coach: “Bradford were interested, Castleford were interested, but we’ve managed to persuade him to choose us, which is very pleasing.”

Surely Halifax cant pay what we could ? Was there a genuine offer on the table or was it that poor Halifax beat it ?
