Farsley boss: Prescot will be no pushovers
Farsley moved back into the top six of Evo-Stik League Division One North last weekend but manager Neil Parsley is urging his players to maintain their focus.
They travel to struggling Prescot Cables on Saturday but their confidence took a knock following a shock cup exit in midweek.
Farsley fell at the first hurdle in the West Riding County Cup, after doing the same in the FA Cup and FA Trophy, when they were beaten 4-1 at home by Albion Sports.
Parsley said: “Our recent league form has been very good, we have taken seven points from the last nine available which is excellent.
"There were just a couple of changes to the team for the Albion game from Saturday’s win at Garforth. The changes were only because of niggling injuries and Josh Radcliffe was suspended but it was still a strong team.”
Albion humbled Farsley on their own turf though, forcing them back, dictating the pace of the game and the scoreline could have been higher. But the Farsley boss is sure his players will respond in the correct manner to that defeat.
Ahead of the trip to 18th-placed Prescot, Parsley added: “It is always a tough game over there because they make it difficult for visiting sides. I’m surprised they have had a poor start at home because every time I have been there it has been a real test.”
Prescot have yet to win at home this season from four attempts. They have lost three and drawn one so Parsley is determined to prime his players and ensure they do not kick-start their campaign against Farsley.
