Giving the man-of-the-match award was a no-brainer for Albion Sports under-eights in the Keybury Junior League.

It went to Sohail Mahmood, who scored TEN in the 15-2 defeat of Leeds Maccabi.

Other Albion scorers were Raushan Sandhu (3) and Casey Breaks (2), while Joban Banghar impressed on his debut.

Albion Sports’ under-seven team also figured in a remarkable match, losing 7-6 to Dudley Hill Rangers.

Skipper and man of the match Luke Jeffreys netted four for Albion and the impressive Yousuf Ali a brace as Sports came back from 6-2 down to level, Rangers winning via Joshua Whitford with virtually the last kick of the game.

It was his fifth goal, joint man of the match Adam Morris netting two.

Bradford Park Avenue Lizards went top of their under-12 division with an outstanding 14-1 victory over Silsden Reds.

Cameron Brewster, Lewis Moorhouse and Lewis Melvin bagged hat-tricks, further goals coming from Joe Waters (2), Dylan Newsholme, Kaylum Johnson and Alex Gibson.

Avenue Raptors under-tens gave an improved display in a 5-2 defeat at Long Lee A but paid a heavy price for errors and missed chances.

Vincent Henderson and Billy Lee Firth were on target for the losers, Kamal Azhar, Ethan Scott and Tyler Brown helping to keep Long Lee down to five.

Newcomers Avenue Dragons under-tens have notched their first win – an emphatic 10-1 Yellow Division success at Long Lee B.

Goals included a header from Connor Brandon, a hat-trick by Jack Deacon and efforts from Dominik Dygasiewicz and Kian Stubley.

Scholemoor Tigers under-11s were on form in a 6-0 victory over Albion Sports, Josh Allan bagging a hat-trick and Ethan Allen, Omar Anjum and man of the match Ellis Powell also being on target.

Scholemoor Lions under-11s went down 4-1 to Avenue Scorpions, Jake Speed getting the Lions’ first goal.

They want more players. Training is on Tuesdays (6pm-7pm) on the artificial grass at Thornton Sports Centre and Saturdays (10am-11am) on the playing field at Clayton Church of England School, Bradford Road, Clayton.

Scholemoor under-tens lost 1-0 in the Red Division to Baildon, who scored midway through the second half via Louis Turner after great work from man of the match Louis Anderson. Denon Sokee impressed on his debut.

Baildon Dynamos under-sevens picked up where they left off the previous week in the Red Division with a 12-2 victory at Sutton, man of the match Harvey Menzies netting five.

Further goals came from the tricky Alfie Turner, Ben Cockcroft, Hamish McCallum and Max Paterson.

Dudley Hill Rangers under-nines won 4-0 at Calverley in the Red Division, Dominic Howard giving Rangers a slender half-time lead.

Harry Norton made up for an earlier penalty miss to go with further second-half strikes from midfield duo Jake Softley and Spencer Dunk.

Wyke Wanderers under-11s got their first win of the season, beating Bradford Park Avenue Juniors 5-0. Goals came from Josh Grant (2), Noel Jones, Luke Delahunty and Adeel Podmore.

Undercliffe Celtic under-15s made it four wins from four in the Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League after a 6-1 success at Thornton.

Sulliman Ali netted the first after five minutes, Phillip Byron (2), Paul Causley (2) and man of the match Ryan Simpson also being on target.

Avenue Eagles under-12s were expecting their toughest test of the season at Calverley in Division D but won 5-0.

Eisa Faulding put Avenue ahead and then set up skipper Jack Holroyd for a swerver from 30 yards before netting himself from 30 yards with a dipping effort.

A Tyler Rhodes header from inside the six-yard box made it 4-0 in the second half and Liam Brook curled in a free-kick late on, Avenue keeper Jordan Moorhouse doing well to keep a clean sheet.

Avenue under-15s huffed and puffed in the first half but could only manage a Danny Burnett shot that hit the bar in trailing 1-0 at Bolton Woods.

Kenny Tafireyi made up for a miss inside the first 30 seconds by equalising and man of the match Burnett made it 2-1 with a 25-yarder, before Tafireyi netted from 20 yards.

Avenue’s fourth goal came after a Michael Chalmers free-kick was headed into his own goal by a Woods player.

Avenue’s under-14 A team suffered their first defeat of the season in going down 4-1 at Calverley in C Division. Man of the match Oliver Raistrick was on target for Avenue.

Avenue’s under-18 team lost 5-3 to Horsforth, Harry Hall and Daniel Boyd (2) netting for the losers while defender Jamie Clegg was man of the match.

Jamie Denning gave an accomplished defensive display for Thackley Dragons under-14s in the Harrogate & District Junior League but he did not win the man-of-the-match award, that honour going to Jack I’Anson.

Scorers in the 6-3 victory over Lawnswood YMCA were Dan Grimshaw (2), Joe Storey, Ryan Holstead, Josh Reeves and Nathan Henderson-Hall.

Bradford City’s under-18 girls’ team are hoping to make it six wins from six in the Harrogate & District League when they face South Leeds at Rawdon Meadows on Sunday (1.00).

City notched their nap hand with a 3-2 defeat of Wigton Moor, who did the double over the Bantams last season.

Lucy Turner’s goal for City was all that separated the sides at half-time but Molly Sharpe’s beautiful left-footed curler made it 2-0 early in the second half.

However, two goals in four minutes levelled matters, only for Sharpe to clear off the line and Turner to get the winner.

Sandy Lane need goalkeepers for their under-15 and under-12 teams.

They are also looking to recruit under-11 and under-12 players.
