New Cougars coach Paul March has promoted six of last season’s reserves side to his first-team squad for 2013 – but half-back Jy-mel Coleman has joined rivals Dewsbury.

Jack Copperwaite, Danny Snowden, Josh Lynham, Charlie Ecclestone and Ben Stead have all progressed through the Cougar Cubs ranks.

They will be joined by reserve player of the season Ryan Patchett, who played his junior rugby with West Bowling .

March said: “They will benefit greatly from training regularly with the senior players and working in a more professional environment.

“It will be up to them to take the opportunity to develop themselves as players and stake their claim for a first-team place.”

Coleman, meanwhile, has joined Dewsbury on a one-year deal after two seasons at Cougar Park.
