Neil Parsley keen to get Farsley cup exits out of system
Farsley boss Neil Parsley is hoping his side can make the best of back-to-back home games to give them a lift in Evo-Stik League Division One North following two knockout exits.
The club’s last four games have all been in cup competitions and they have won none of them. Now they host Ramsbottom United in the league on Saturday before Ossett Town visit Throstle Nest on Tuesday and Parsley is urging his players to capitalise.
“Injuries are still a problem but we did get Rob Priestley back last Tuesday from an ankle injury, although he isn’t 100 per cent,” said Parsley.
“But we will also have Rob Pacey back because he missed the Trophy replay due to work commitments.”
Farsley have been without Sim Bambrook and Ben Jones, both with knee injuries, and after home draws in the FA Cup and Trophy they were beaten in subsequent replays.
They have taken just four points from their opening four league games and go into the weekend trailing newcomers Ramsbottom, who have three points more.
“I have had a couple of reports on them and seen their results but I don’t know too much about them because they were promoted from the North West Counties Premier Division,” said Parsley.
“The cups have gone for us now so the best thing could be a couple of league games close together and we are looking to make the most of them.”
