Farsley dumped out of FA Cup by bogey side
6:20am Wednesday 12th September 2012 in Sport By Ian Whiting
Farsley exited the FA Cup in disappointing fashion last night after losing 1-0 at Evo-Stik Division One rivals Ossett Albion.
Albion had beaten Neil Parsley’s men in the league and just days later wrestled home advantage out of this first qualifying-round tie by earning a replay with a 1-1 draw at Throstle Nest on Saturday.
They went one better last night as they scored but kept Farsley out.
Farsley had more of the ball in the first half but failed to create anything in the final third of the pitch, while the home side marched through courtesy of Adam Hayton’s 66th-minute free-kick.
