Cleckheaton still to get off the mark

Ryan Piercy scored Cleckheaton's try in a disappointing team performance
Cleckheaton 5, Sheffield 34
Cleckheaton remain winless after this SSE North One East defeat to an enterprising and motivated Sheffield side.
In perfect conditions for an expansive game, the visitors took the lead with penalties in the 13th and 19th minutes from new fly half Mark Ireland.
Cleckheaton had their fair share of possession but unenforced errors ruined good field positions.
Sheffield went further into the lead when Ireland supported a break to dive over for a good try wide out.
The same player converted his own try, and at the break the visitors were in the driving seat.
Second-half tries from Chris Dale, Will Bennett and a last-minute effort from wing Alex Hill, all of which were converted by the excellent Ireland, secured both the win and the bonus point for Sheffield.
Cleckheaton were duly rewarded for their efforts when Ryan Piercy was driven over from close range for a try but it was scant consolation for a disappointing performance.
