Bradford Bulls: Ian Sibbit to hang up his boots

Ian Sibbit Ian Sibbit

Bulls forward Ian Sibbit has confirmed he is to retire at the end of the season after 14 years in the professional ranks.

The second rower, 31, has endured an injury-disrupted campaign and spent two long periods on the sidelines with a shoulder injury and a broken right arm.

With his contract up at the end of the season, Sibbit has now joined Ben Jeffries in announcing he is to quit Super League.

The popular Wiganer joined Bradford from Salford ahead of the 2011 campaign and has also enjoyed spells with Warrington and Melbourne Storm.

Good Luck Ian, it hasn't been the best of time for you with injuries etc. If it's any consolation you made a massive contribution when you played, all too infrequently with the horrendous injuries you suffered.

After the show against Hul I would think another 13 would be considering similar action and hanging their boots up.

Stupidness, give it a rest, join your friends under wherever bridge you crawled from under.

It was a massive relief after OK took over and was much needed but the timing was lousy as the players relaxed prior to the game and not after.
1st lesson for Messrs Khan / Sutcliffe.
