Hepworth & Idle victory leaves Crompark doomed

Guiseley -based Crompark had their relegation from Dales Council League Division A confirmed after their match at home to Hyde Park was abandoned due to a waterlogged ground and their closest rivals for the drop, Hepworth & Idle (119-4), picked up maximum points with a six-wicket win over visitors Saville Stars (116.

New Wortley (103-9) look favourites to finish as runners-up to champions Leeds Sikh after squeezing past Apperley Bridge (102) by one wicket.

Halifax Direct (156-7) made it seven wins from seven starts after completing a three-wicket win over Baildon (150, Naz Khan 5-13). Shipley Providence (206-6) recorded a 64-run win at Hawksworth , who were dismissed for 142 in reply.

Division B leaders Apperley Bridge B (128-6) require just eight points to claim the title after their four-wicket win over Drighlington -Whitehall (125, Allan Mitchell 67).

Steve Phillips (53) was in the runs again as his Tong side (102, Rob Guest 5-35) gained a vital win over close rivals Meanwood, who were dismissed for just 79 (Stuart Liddell 4-19).

Farnley Hill (138) are still in the promotion shake-up, despite being beaten by six wickets at Pudsey St Lawrence (140-4, Shahid Bhatti 52no).

In Division C, leading pair Tong Park Esholt and Undercliffe both suffered setbacks in their chase for the title.


Leaders Tong Park Esholt (146) went down to a 14 run defeat at third in the table Thornbury B (160/9). However, there was a bigger surprise for Undercliffe (146/8), who went to a 22-run defeat at bottom of the table Cookridge B (166, Adam Rollett 51).


Runaway Division D Champions Baildon B (178, Ali Malik 53) extended their lead at the top over second in the table Pudsey Congs B (105) to a huge 64 points after a 73-run win over their distant rivals.
