No glamour tie for Bradford City

City will host fellow League Two side Burton in the Capital One Cup third round.

After away wins at Notts County and Watford, the Bantams were finally given a home draw tonight.

But they missed out on the big guns who all joined the competition for the first time. It does give them a good chance of progressing into the last 16.

Meanwhile, Leeds have been drawn at home to Everton.

The games will take place during the week beginning September 24.

Gives the club a good chance of getting to last 16 which could bring in more money

Well happy with that. Quarter final beckons. Then it'll be glamour all the way to the final.

Ha jus typical. Only bonus is its a home tie and we got a good chance of winning and going further in the cup.

If you don't get a big team away then I suppose the next best is to get a lower league team at home. Gives us a good chance to progress and get a big team in the next round. Roll on sat. Ctid.

They will be a lot more gutted about this game than us. At least we didn't draw them at their place.

On current form should progress to last 16. I am pleased with the draw as i think its better to be in a low profile tie round after round then hit the semis in style. Beeston utd should sh*t out though on evertons current form. bring on the millers n their obese per**rt gaffer.

this is a tough one. Burton have beaten Leicester and Sheffield United already and both were away games. Parky has already stated that the Div 2 is his priority so you can bet it will not be the strongest team on the field. good luck and I think the fans will need to be right behind the team to get them through.

I wanted one of two things for this draw.

A money spinner away to one of the country's big guns or a winnable home tie.

Getting through will generate further cash and probably guarantee a TV appearance given we'll be the only L2 team left and we'll almost certainly have an interesting draw given that a large proportion of the remaining 15 teams will be Premier League.

So all in all, it's a very good draw.

Let's get through and play Man U away in the last 16, that would be something.

I'm not gutted at all about getting Burton at home. Like some of you have mentioned above, It gives us a chance of progressing through to the 4th round and a possibly getting a P/ship team at home and maybe a TV appearance and LOADSA money. If we do progress to the 4th, then that would be the 1st time for 20yrs. Anyway, forget about the cup, because Saturday is more important and Fat Boy Evans is gonna be getting a visit from 2200 of his most unwanted friends. Rotherham here we come c.t.i.d.

Looking like we will take our all our away allocation at Rotherham Saturday,I know were going well but I'll take a point before a ball is kicked,a draw at the "NewYork Stadium" would be a good result come 5pm Saturday

With the potential of a big money spinning tie,tv money, money for getting to the next round and getting to the last 16, I really hope parky puts our strongest side out, we will never have a better chance

There are 3 types of draw available at this stage;
1) a big, premiership team that we have no chance of beating but is a money spinner
2) a championship/league one team that we are likely to lose to with a small crowd
3) a league 2 team that we have every chance of beating and if we do progress we increase the likelihood of getting a draw as mentioned in 1).
As we didn't get a 'great' draw we got the next best thing. A home draw against a team of equal stature is a great draw. Would love man utd in the next round.after we beat Burton!

Newcastle might just come up with a shock win. There are 5 all prem ties so that narrows it down to 15 and there is a possibility that another 5 or 6 might bite the dust. that would leave us with nine or ten prem teams. I would love a big team at home in the next round too. I think Lady Luck is is looking down at us with a great big smile.
