Bradford Bulls destroy Huddersfield Giants to boost play-off bid

Huddersfield 12, Bulls 34

Mick Potter was left delighted after the Bulls destroyed Huddersfield to give their play-off hopes another massive boost this afternoon.

After falling behind to an early try from former Bradford academy player Joe Wardle, Potter’s men seized control.

Shaun Ainscough collected a fine pass from Karl Pryce to plunge over in the right corner and replacement hooker Matt Diskin showed impressive strength to cross for a second try.

Luke Gale, who enjoyed another superb game, claimed a third on the stroke of half-time to put the Bulls 18-6 up at the break.

Brett Kearney then bagged his 15th try of the season shortly before the hour mark to put the game beyond Huddersfield’s reach.

Pryce, who enjoyed a solid game in the centres as deputy for the injured Michael Platt, then sauntered over the line for a fifth Bradford try.

Leroy Cudjoe grabbed a late consolation for the Giants but the Bulls scored a brilliant sixth try late on when Elliott Whitehead's audacious pass sent Pryce over for his second.

Unbelieveable.

What a bitter sweet situation. It is obvious that the clubs players are gping to be picked off and it is such a shame as at last there is some team spirit. If we could have kept these players together and added a couple of world class players, next season we really could have been top four. And that is a real top 4 not a comment from that bar stool hood. If I ever have chance to talk to him I will certainly let him know what is only legacy for the Bulls is.
What a dreadful shame.
Well done Bulls and Mick Potters team of down and outs. Playing with such pride that has been missing for nigh on six years.

We let a woeful Giants team off lightly. Scored six tries but bombed another half-dozen. The defence and the enthusiasm was superb. The togetherness of the team shone out. Both our hookers were immense. Note to Sam Burgess: its essential to retain possession when tackled; the ball is precious.

It would be difficult for Sam to retain the ball in Huddersfield from 12000 miles away, so I think you mean Tom Burgess!!!!!!!

It seemed like several thousand delirious Bulls fans were reluctant to go home. Wall of sound from start to finish. Giants are bankrolled by Ken Davey, yet they have such disappointing home crowds. Thanks to them though, for the additional gate money they gave Bulls today. Bulls out of Super League? Only if you want to forfeit that massive support which gives so many clubs their best crowds.

Tom. But he's off to Australia, he can drop all he wants down there.

Whats all this about a top eight spot. I thought the idea was to finish in first place as all others are losers.

Can you let me know where you are studying for your psychology degree?? (one of his silly posts folks, in which his poor deluded brain thinks that he's a psycologist, mainly because he spelt it right!!)

Are you studying the life and times of Walter Mitty?? Bit of role play is it??

Or haven't you realised what a prize idiot you are yet???

By winning we ruined his weekend, he hoped we would lose like City then for him it would have been the perfect weekend.
