Bradford City sign two more

Teenage defender Carl McHugh impressed during his pre-season trial Teenage defender Carl McHugh impressed during his pre-season trial

City this morning announced two more captures, including winger Zavon Hines.

The 23-year-old winger, who has been training with the club since being released by Burnley, has signed on a one-year deal with a further season's option in City's favour.

Phil Parkinson has also snapped up 19-year-old defender Carl McHugh after impressing during his pre-season trial. McHugh can play centre half and left back and will offer good cover in both positions.

Both players are eligible to be involved at Gillingham as City lodged their paperwork with the Football League before yesterday's midday deadline.

Fantastic double swoop by City. Well done PP. My optimism and confidence in City is even greater now and we WILL win promotion. Onwards and upwards. c.t.i.d.

Agree re Taiwo. The one missing piece of the jigsaw to have quality and cover all over the pitch for me. But we have a good squad now . Put an each way bet on city to win league 2 this morning. Think we'll be top 3.

Hines will be a great signing but will he be used and if so will it be in conjunction with Reid or as a replacement on the right when Reid is substituted from the left? Agree with those who say we need Taiwo to provide steel in midfield as we seem a bit lacking in that at present

Sounds more like SP's money than PP's ability.

I would start with Hines on right Reidy on the left whenever possible on their day they will rip teams to shreds. Also playing Hines would stop teams putting 2/3 players on Reid kicking lumps out of him.
Off subject just been on official City site, again never again its bloody awful was it designed by a 12 year old!

Agree with you both Bingley Bantam and Shoesman, horrible site. I never go on it now. When they do release the news, it is already on here, it is on the BBC or SKY a day or 2 before anyway.

And how difficult it can be trying to find prices for games too, I sometimes like to go to other grounds and see how much matches are, but some clubs don't even publish the details. I just then choose not to go because of that 1 fact. Official football club sites are terrible, uninformative and horrible to navigate. They are best avoided.
