Silsden win seven-goal thriller at Liversedge

Liversedge 3, Silsden 4

The last friendly for Sedge and the Cobbydalers ended in a seven-goal thriller at Clayborn tonight.

Tate Williams gave the home side the lead midway through the first half but Silsden led 3-1 at half- time after Elliot Holmes equalised, John Douglas netted a penalty and then Holmes added his second.

Sedge came back after the break with a spot-kick of their own, Gibril Bojang firing in, and levelled thanks to an own goal.

But they could not complete their comeback, and Andy Lee scored the Cobbydalers’ winner five minutes from time.
