Ken Morrison did not make his money investing in businesses like the Bulls. Far from being a tight s*d he's a shrewd business man. On another tack why on earth have the T&A chosen to show that picture? The place is dilapidated I know but there are many other views that do it more justice. Shame on you T&A for that.

My mistake it was the worlds in 1985. I love speedway having grown up with teams like Coventry Bees,Belle Vue Aces, Hull Vikings to name a few owing to a family connection to a rider and it was one of the best circuits at Odsal.

Gary went on to ride for Poole, Eastbourne, Peterborough and Arena Essex over a 10 year period when he left Bradford. He eventually returned 'home' to Middlesborough - Redcar where he leads the Bears in the second tier of League Speedway now incredibly 43 years young Havvy sustained serious career threatening injuries earlier this season and will at the very least not ride again this season. He was a young man when he came to Odsal a real out and out racer and kind of filled the void when we lost Kenny Carter in terrible off track circumstances. Havvy was a bit wild on and off track which led to a years ban from the sport in 1989, but he returned became World Champion in 1993 and matured a person and performer. Ostensibly he was Bradford Speedway in the late 80's - 90's to the close and on balance amongst many of the top English talent we stabled at Odsal in that time; the late Simon Wigg, Kelvin Tatum, Joe Screen and Mark Loram; Havvy was stand out racer.

So when the call comes from the Local Village Idioits in City Hall the statue to be raised in his honour I and many others will be there to make sure it is'nt going to happen.
