St Helens 54 Bulls 0

Mick Potter could only watch on in despair as the injury-crippled Bulls succumbed to their heaviest defeat of the season at St Helens tonight.

Minus full back Brett Kearney and around 10 other players due to injury, Potter's men were second-best throughout.

They were backing up just four days after Monday's home win over Castleford but they were never at the races at a rain-soaked Langtree Park.

Paul Wellens opened the scoring and Josh Jones (2), Jonny Lomax and Francis Meli all touched down to help Saints into a 28-0 interval lead.

The one-way traffic continued after the break as Wellens, Tommy Makinson, Lance Hohaia and Lomax again all struck before Jones completed his hat-trick.
