Matthew beats Chris in Jacques showdown to be top junior

Matthew Jacques recovered from 16-11 down to defeat twin brother Chris 21-17 in the final as he retained the BRADFORD JUNIOR HANDICAP at Queensbury.

* Mally Fowler (Ladyhill) and Debbie Davis (Pudsey) teamed up to win the BRADFORD MIXED PAIRS MERIT at Lister Park.
They claimed the Texere Yarns-sponsored title for the first time after beating Eccleshill duo Andy and Helen Gilroy 21-12 in the decider.
Fowler and Davis had defeated defending champions Paul Hillam (Eccleshill) and Angela Carter (Littlemoor) 21-15 in the semi-finals.

* Richard Stockdale (Eccleshill) and Liam Griffin (Lower Hopton) were the qualifiers from week three of the SHIPLEY CLASSIC, sponsored by Yorkshire Building Society and the trustees of Neville Harrison.
Stockdale came through with wins over Andy Deighton (Bridlington) 21-14, Gary Whelan (Guiseley) 21-20 and James Hanson (Lower Hopton) 21-11 before drawing number five for finals night.
